Former MLB Player Suffers Stroke
Hall of Famer and former Minnesota Twins player Kirby Puckett suffered a stroke this morning at his Scottsdale, Ariz., home and was at Scottsdale Osborne Hospital where he was undergoing surgery.
Puckett has kep a low profile since his premature retirement due to complications from glaucoma. He has kept good relations with his former team, and was scheduled to remarry this year.
Stroke signs are not readily apparent. If you suspect someone of having a potential stroke, have them smile, raise their arms above their head, and say something simple like "the sun is shining." Call 911 right away if they fail this simple test.
